    Hi everyone,

I'm new to error coins and wanted to see if anyone has come across something like this before: it looks to be a 1986 Lincoln cent with a very weak strike 6. There doesn't appear to be much wear on the coin so I'm not sure if it's that.

    Any info would be great!

    Thanksk

    I want to think it's from a grease-filled die.

Thanks all. Is that a fairly common phenomenon then?

yes it is very common, but now you have an inexpensive example to compare with in the future. It may prevent you from getting taken on a future potential buy. :thumb:

Yes, it is seemingly common. I would personally keep it, due to the grease in that area, and because I like heavy grease-filled dies, but don't expect any premium off of it. You'd be lucky to sell it for a dollar. Also, welcome to CT!
