Screw the buffalo I'm drooling over that $10 Indian. That might be the most beautiful coin ever created in the United States. It's a collectors dream as far as I'm concerned. So many positives going for this coin. Great eye capturing obverse lady Liberty wearing a headdress low series life gold classic look eye appeal eye appeal eye appeal low mintages beautiful rereverse what's not to love about a $10 gold Indian?
This half came in the mail a couple days ago. The sellers pictures were really fuzzzy, so I'm pleased that it's as nice as it is.
I posted the cropped PCGS pics of this before, here are my full body shots now that the coin has come in:
With all due respect, women never wore headdresses only male Chiefs. It's a head shaker to an Indian. I always see this coin and the Indian Cent as a symbol of how little we understand one another. It's hard for me to look past. Is Lady Liberty our equivalent to a Chief? I suppose we weren't consulting Natives for much in 1900. I guess I picked up on that living in South Dakota. Other than that I agree with you accept for that shortsighted design flaw.
I got this in the mail today. I had forgotten I had pre ordered it a while back so it was a nice surprise! Sent from my SGH-T889 using Tapatalk 2
The ATB designs are all 100x better than the statehood quarters IMO. Congrats on the pick up. :thumb:
I'm surprised that there was someone who wanted to buy something that is obviously just a marketing scheme. Personally, I would rather have the 2012 silver proof set and the silver eagle proof. you get more coins for less money and nicer packaging. No offense intended.
Got a roll of 71-Ps in mint wrappers yesterday. Bit of a dud though. Picked out about six that might be good album pieces - the rest I'll just spend. This is just an awful date/mm - coins are covered in chatter and hits, and most are weakly-struck. Also this pair. I can do better, but I'm collecting different grades for grading practice.
