I do believe there are people that still see him as a hero. Not for what he did on the track but what he did through the LiveStrong organization. I will say there are alot of people he burned and burned bad and should have to pay for what he did. Though those that were help through LiveStrong may still see him as a hero because if he hadn't doped and became such a big name and role model for cancer survivors they may have never got the help they did.

Now don't get me wrong. A good plus a bad still equals a bad. Just saying there are those that may see him as a hero.

I'm fascinated by people still bidding and buying this junk at significant premiums ...YES, I think that's ridiculous; and there are lots of other "opinions" on CT too. As I recall for a certain warmonger General!

Do we even know if Armstrong REALLY had cancer? (I have an aunt who pretends that too: kinda despicable, fakery. It happens.) As for his charity, I hope the auditors go over the books verrrrry carefully too.

    What was the HSN coin-premium?

Well it really is a coin topic as supposedly Lance Armstrong signed the silver eagles and now the price is gonna go down. jmho

Regardless of your opinion on Armstrong, why would you assume the autographs aren't real? Does PCGS have a history of faking this sort of thing?

    The autographs are obviously legitimate.

I reckon that many people other than "some Texans" think he's a hero such as cancer survivors etc. That aside it is somewhat obvious that the value of his signature would decrease the day after he admitted to using steroids. Please don't bring in drug use, "Lyin' Liar's Prize," ethics or "this Texas doper." I agree with Morgandude11 that this doesn't belong on this website. PS: It's still .999oz of silver

I'm not sure you understand. This is a coin topic. And I believe he is entitled to his opinion.

As for the OP, I would only guess that these will have a sudden decrease in value.

I hope I can score one of these even though I've never really viewed Mr. Armstrong as an American Hero any more than I view Brad Pitt as an American Hero for his work in restoring New Orleans.

Both are certainly more inspirational than Jessica Lynch but I wouldn't classify them as American Heros.

Do anybody know how many of these Armstrong signed silver eagles were originally sold?

More than a few heroes have fallen from grace, that's for sure.

edited - and no, the censorship is not weird. Nor is it biased. It is consistent. We will edit left and right, both the same and equally.

As for the Lance Armstrong coins, I don't know the baseline premium for his signature on ASEs. I presume no rarity value on the coin itself, but there's a premium on slabbed ASEs. What is that?

He definately had cancer...but now the question is did he get it from using roids?

    Who's Lance Armstrong ?

  20. Would be nice if everyone would get this upset when the ones we elect to high offices lie to us.

Well he seems to think he got it from Testerone injections. Not the same as using "roids" but equally as bad on your physical health. Actually since he believes that to be the truth then his having cancer was self inflicted and definitely different than how most people acquire the disease. That means his finding and creating "LiveStrong" was fraudulent and or misleading. With that said, as far as the slabbed ASE's being sold with his signature, well someone will have to take a loss on those. :D
