I might buy one for a dollar just to find out... Interesting all his other stuff is fishing related...

It's been a while since I've seen so much fail in one auction. Not only is it PCGS and CAC, it's brand name APMEX! The image shows an 1881 that is certainly not MS66, and the item info shows 1881, but the auction text says 1921.

But who knows, maybe it is actually a PCGS MS66 with a CAC bean and an APMEX sticker to boot, because the fine print says "Mint and strike marks may vary from stock photos."

I think what sums it up best is this gem from the description: "...this silver dollar is a rare collecible." But I think he meant to say" "This silver dollar is rarely collectible." :too-funny:

Thanks for a good laugh geekpryde!

ETA: How is this auction still active?

That's a good question, as all his coin auctions are in violation of eBay policy (regarding showing both obverse and reverse). Interesting that he has the Morgan dollar listed in two categories, one being Washington quarters. As stated, it could be a hacked account (the seller hasn't had any activity in two years), or maybe it's just another dumb listing, worthy of a place in this thread.

I have not seen them take any action yet today. To make matters worse, lately they have been taking a lot of Fridays off and every weekend off.

Before I posted my link to it, I reported that specific auction, not the others. NO word from eBay, and it has not been pulled. And there are bids, so someone is actually falling for it. Or maybe it is Conder101 buying another off-brand slab for his collection?

So, place a bid of $100 or so. If you get the pictured coin, file SNAD, since it's obviously not PCGS or CAC. If the title is right and the photo is wrong, you've got a steal.

Doesn't look like a hacked account to me (still selling fishing gear as well), just someone who's really clueless about coins.
