Hey as some of you know Norfeds are supposedly counterfeit and that's fine that's not what this thread is about. It's not about the price either, it's about looks. Why does the Peace Dollar look so lame against the Liberty Dollar? Supposedly Bernard von Nothaus minted both, or did he? Anyone know? Anyone anything positive to say about Liberty Dollars, Ron Paul Dollars, Tea Party Dollars, Norfeds, Hawaiian Dala's et. al.? Anyone know if Bernie's co-defendents have been sentenced yet? Any information? Anyone besides a naysayer?
Supposedly the PEACE copper coins were minted in China to keep costs down, thus the lower quality of them. If you look at the 2007 versus the 2008 versus the 2009 issues of the copper coins, there is definitely a difference! Budsgunshop.com sells copper rounds (they mark the year on them) that use the Norfed liberty design and their coppers look quite nice. Not sure where they get their's coins minted at. They also do silver and sometimes, gold.
China? You mean BVNH contracted with someone in China to mint his coins or someone in China stole the design and minted a bunch of them? Very interesting to me. :thumb:
