One aspect of die deterioration is that when you see it on both sides of lettering or such of a modern coin ( not 'Longacre' ), it is not a doubled die, nor a MD coin, it is deterioration, and yet although it is mint caused, it carries neutral value, IMO.

If "he's clearly wrong", this would mean you already know, beyond a doubt, what you have, so why are you here asking? I would much like to hear your expert and absolute opinion on what it is you really have since, well, I see what is likely die deterioration (and a crack) a few nothing special coins.
