I had a silver roll ender this morning also, no pics since my camera croked, but a 1961. BTW beautiful pup!
^^^^^^ Thanks! Good dog in general, an excellent greeter when I get home. See the other one in the background? Much easier to deal with and a Champion. Much different personalities. HOTN
My youngest dog is a complete sweetheart to my family - but fiercely protective and decidedly menacing looking - especially with her icy blues. My 15 yr old dog is getting on in years, but he is still the main guard dog and he will shred you if you come near my daughters.
Thanks, HOTN! You brought me luck! Today I found my first Merc ender: There were actually four silver coins in the one roll (2 Mercs and 2 Roosies) and 4 more in the box! HOTN, find a gold coin so I can find one, too!
I'd be happy to, never struck gold in a roll or in the reject. I'm hoping I get my turn someday! HOTN
One of only two silver coins today, other was a 1956-D dime. This was on the end of a roll, I could tell it was different by the colour of course - but it was very well worn too: It is officially my second worst War nickel, I have one that is even more worn from a roll search. Notice how thin it was in comparison to the rest of the Jeffers.
January 14, 2011 I usually have poor success with Loomis dime boxes, but the one I opened today looked good right away: My second Merc ender! There were 2 silver Roosies in the box, too.
Getting your first Merc... You will get yours if you are persistent! I can't believe there are still Mercs in circulation at all. I was really lucky...my first ever box of dimes had a Merc. But they aren't so easy! Still, I have found about 10 in the last month!
I live in a part of the country where getting dime boxes takes an act of congress. Otherwise I am usually going through CWR, which still produce silver but only Roosies.
Saw this guy when going though some cents, not too unusual and wasnt going to post about it. (slightly more common then finding a wheat cent I'd say) But upon opening it up I see this guy, so its quite rare to have a double ender and worth a post. Inside there was another (George VI) :thumb:
