Look closely, this libertad has the girl missing one small piece of her anatomy. Every other Libertad I have seen, has two. Is this a greased filled die, or something else?
So just that part of the die got worn huh? Sounds to me like there is a mint employee in Mexico City who REALLY needs a girlfriend.
It was easy to spot the missing piece as that is the place my eyes naturally gravitate towards. So, how could this coin grade at MS70 with that sort of wear/damage?
It's not wear, or the other one would be worn off. Something occurred during the minting process for this to happen.
I just realized... If this was a true error, I'm sure the graders would be laughing when they print the label.
Could be, but I'm not 100% sure. It might be uneven wear, or intentional damage. It could even be a modified image or it could just be that it's hidden in the glare. Whoever owns this coin should send it to me for closer inspection.
