I don't know if this one has been posted yet (and I ain't gonna wade through 11+ pages to find out) but I always thought this young lady rather comely..........
Though it has been 3 years or so since I purchased anything from the Paris Mint, they used to have a VAT tax (Value Added Tax) on purchases within Economic Union, and the prices for purchases from, say, the US were lower. I didn't notice dual pricing, though. Also, the Paris Mint used to provide the same pages in English, but I can't find that either. Chris

Browser translates French to English. The translator is a plug-in my Chrome browser. The translation is almost instantaneous. I believe Internet Explorer and FireFox also have translators. Mike .
Thanks! Yeah, it used to be they would show both prices. I bet they were catching a lot of flak from the EU customers. I'm using Firefox, but I'm a computer dummy, so I don't have the slightest idea where to look for the translator. Chris

I much preferred their old website w/ dual pricing and the images were better, IMO. It's really tough to keep up w/ technology. I only use FireFox when I have but I'm a fan of Google products. You should find a translator under TOOLS on the menu bar or you can d/l the Google translator here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/google-translator-for-firefox/ Good luck, Mike
", , , and I guess it's called Persée et Andromède? http://tinyurl.com/9wm8lj4 Looks like they have a lot of nice stuff. I'll have to go through it when I have the chance. Thanks for the link." Yep, that's it. The price is reduced by around 20% when shipped out of the EU but s/h is around €29. I would only order after I had chosen four or more medals.
I like some of the French medals and might want to buy some. So it looks like some are numbered? After they sell out of a medal do they remake it slightly different with another metal and redo them? If this is true it sounds a lot like the prints I collect. I guess they don't make an unlimited number of them? I don't know anything about them, any info appreciated.
Did Raymond Delamarre make these? I guess they stop making it at some time? Are they numbered or is it unlimited edition? Signed? Here's some info on the guy they say is the author http://www.atelier-raymond-delamarre.fr/oeuvres-persee-andro.html
There's quite a few more but I like but would need to use current pics from people currently selling on ebay
Nah, it's just that the Monnaie de Paris does not sell that much to non-EU customers (directly, I mean) anyway. If somebody in the US wants their products, he or she can get them from local distributors and dealers. And even here in the EU it may pay off to buy them from a dealer nearby - as a reseller, the dealer does not have to pay the French TVA (19.6%) but charges his local VAT from his customers (e.g. 7% here in DE). All this applies to coins; if you want medals instead, things may be a little different ... Chrome has that feature built in; every time I go to a non-German page, a translation offer will appear at the top of the page. There are plug-ins for other browsers; or just go here: http://translate.google.com Christian
Ah, my German is pretty good but there are numerous languages out there which I do not speak, hehe. Which is also why I love Google Translate on my cell phone: I can even take a photo of some printed text - say, a brochure or a poster - and swipe my finger across a portion to get that translated. Sure, it is not totally accurate, but the progress as far as such features are concerned is amazing. Now if a beautiful woman spoke the resulting text to me, that would even be on-topic here.
