When you begin selling on eBay. You are usually required to provide them with a tax ID number or your SSN. This is for paypal to verify your account and so they can make sure to be above the boards with the IRS. Every seller I have ever talked to that had their account frozen didn't want to or wasn't able to verify their ID. Last year I ran about $400k through paypal into my bank with no issues. This is because my company is completely above board when it comes to paypals reporting and requirements.
He can however run for political office. He has ALL the necessary qualifications, fiscally challenged, truth challenged etc.
I think it'd be cool to have a city on mars. My two cents. My three cents is that I would take anything from The Sun with a big grain of salt. They are a lot like "News of the World" and all those grocery store "newspapers" in the checkout isle. They do have page 3 girls though...I miss having that to look at on the way to work in the morning.
Nah, you have to be rich to run for office. Detecto only credit to his name is Paypal and how much he can go negative before having to open up another account.
Back when I sold on eBay, like a decade ago you did not have to provide a SS or TIN - but eBay was a lot smaller back then than now.
I also agree with most people on this thread. Almost everybody on eBay uses Paypal and I think it would be fairly rude to require the seller to accept a money order. I only accept Paypal when I sell on eBay and most people pay within minutes.
Banks do freeze accounts. It's happened to me twice in the past two years from fraudulent charges to my account. Or it could just be a way for them to make money to pay for their business expenses.
Poor Detecto, he's just go so much more to learn in life. I fear he'll be living with his parents until they are no longer riding this big blue space ship we call Earth.... such a shame when parents can't get their kids ready for the real world and out of the house!
Perhaps some know him personally, I don't, so I have to say that people are different, some have physical handicaps, some have personality handicaps, some have mental handicaps, etc. No one should assume someone is automatically as normal or capable as we think we are. Anyone can be facing problems we will never have ,and has to find ways to handle them. The same is true for parents, they may be doing the best they can in the situation, but I know many parents who if honest would admit they have no way to help their children with their problems. IMO.
I agree without reservation. Prompt PayPal payment is the mark of the serious bidder/buyer. All other methods, though perhaps acceptable if queried BEFORE bidding/committing, are red-flags to me. eBay has enough hassles and quirks without waiting for your money.
I would love to live on my own....if I could afford to. I put my app in 2 dozen places, no one called me for an interview. I would love to move...if I could afford to. I would love to go to college, but with 50% of grads jobless (published fact), that doesn't sound very promising does it? I would love to commute to one of the bigger cities, but I cannot afford the gas to drive 100 miles round trip everyday. That's almost $300 a month, in gas alone. Factor in another 500 dollars a month, for renting a hole in the wall, that's $800. Remember, me alone, working 40 hours a week, at Illinois min wage, nets about $1000. With $200 left for food, utilities, car insurance, and necessities, that does not leave much left, actually that's not even enough money. You cannot earn a living on min wage. I know of couples, that BOTH put in 40 hours a week, and barely scrape by. My plan is to: 1. Get a job here, save up enough money to... 2. Move to a place that offers better jobs and go to: 3. College, and hopefully not become one of the 50% of college grads that need a job. BUT until I can complete Step 1. Until one of the places I put apps into calls me, I'm stuck at zero. A lot of the forum members are older, and back then, it was easy to get a job. Walk into any factory, and you had a good chance. This was in the 60s and 70s. I have several friends of my dad who will vouch for this. But a lot of those jobs moved to china, and now, there isn't as many left. In fact, there are 6 people per 1 job. Now out of those 6 people, a 20 year old, with No College Degree, is probably gonna be the last one chosen. It's a sad but true fact. All I can do is keep applying, and beat those other 5 people, and get a job. You can't walk out and get a job anymore. That might of been true 40 years ago, but it's not anymore.
In minnesota you can walk into any town and find a job that pays way better than minimum wage. Only reason minnesota has unemployment is because people are lazy and picky
anyone. where you are from my be different. Average wage from where I live is about $11.00 per hour starting wage
I hire guys all the time fresh out of highschool for 11.00 per hour, and once 90days are up if they are any good they will be making 13.00 per hour
What exactly do you hire for? There is a meat processing place 20 miles away that's hiring, but I've seen a lot of people come out of their missing their fingers. I would like to keep all 10 of my fingers, thank you.
