Here are a couple of Norwegian 1000 kroner notes. The first one is from 1975 (a replacement note) with the famous author Henrik Ibsen. The second 1000 kroner note features Edward Munch. The reverse shows a rendering of his painting "The Sun". Here in Norway we celebrate his 150th birthday in 2013.
I opened the safe tonight and found the Foreign stuff and thought I would scan a few... When I was on vacation a few years back in the Antillies I got this from a local shop... I always thought this was beautiful as I love to photograph Hummingbirds in the wild.. Notice if you will all the " colored planchets" on the face of the note (lower image) with none on the reverse

I like those reverses redwin, even if you can really see the engraving dropoff in Philippines notes from the US issued notes to the self issued notes - can't quite make out who did those designs but it wasn't the BEP. Really like the blue back with Magellan landing...
