Anyone collect the 90% silver sate quarters? I have the New Hampshire one, but I think I am going to start collecting one of each of the states I have been too.

Post pictures if you have any!

I have a Nevada and a Maryland. They're actually a stellar buy as they hover just over melt for most of them. The 1999s still sell for a nice premium, but no where near they were selling at during the inception of the state quarters program.

I got my New Hampshire one for $7 so it was a great deal. Looking on ebay they go for about $8-$10 for any of them.

I have a couple that I have picked up right near melt. A couple months ago my LCS had nearly the entire set in NGC69 for $7 per coin. I didn't want to spend that much at for them at the time and passed. It was about $1.50 per coin over melt at the time. I should have made an offer on the whole set.

I plan on putting together a set - it will be a homage to my late father in-law.

I still have a couple of the 2005 sets (CA, MN, OR, KS & WV) in the OGP. If you're interested, send me a PM and we'll work out the details.

I like them and am about halfway done with the set. As stated, most can be had for $7-8 at shows/stores...maybe a buck or 2 more on ebay. They will never be rare but I do think they will increase in value a bit over time.

I like the designs of the ATB series even more! As such, I have a few sets of each year so far ;)

I've got 1 NGC and 1 PCGS PR69 full sets, 1 NGC PR69 halfway done, and 1 PCGS PR69 about 20% done (I have 2 kids, trying to build a set for each). I've been able to average about $11 per graded coin across the board, usually picking up the sets per year for about $50-60 shipped. If you're patient you can get them for less. I also have 2 full sets plus extras in OGH in case my kids prefer raw to slabbed when they are old enough to care... :)

I have to say they're really nice coins, and am enjoying putting the sets together for cheap enough. I also do aim to do the ATB quarters, just haven't focused on them yet and they're still new enough to command premiums the state quarters have lost over time (well, at least for some of them).

I have the 2005 set in satin finish, I was thinking of collecting those -- it's 2005 to 2008 and then the DC & territories in 2009, and ATB in 2010. About 62 of them

Definitely get the territories. You will not regret it.

The territories are the ones I don't have... still gotta pick those up.

  15. Melt for these right now is 5.45. What is a good price for these ungraded? TC

5.45, maybe a couple percent more.

The 30 most recent completed listings on eBay, some with OGP & COA and some without, averaged $41 per 5-coin set.

No kidding! The 2009 set is what got me to thinking about these satin finishes

The Satins and Proofs are two different methods of production.
