I know its sad, but the best find ever for me was 5 straight full rolls of copper pennies out of a box. It's not usually things like that happen from BWRs, but ya never know!
I posted mine on the PCGS forums before I had an account here. http://forums.collectors.com/messageview.cfm?catid=26&threadid=862232&STARTPAGE=1
Way back on page 311 http://www.cointalk.com/t10176-311/#post828271 Just shows you how saturated this has become. I've been here since page 210, and this has exploded. Can't complain though, I've had a good run (and hope to still squeeze some more life out of it).
Man do I wish I started back in the good old days! However, I think I've had some really good luck despite the ever-diminishing returns. My best day overall was 125 40% and eight 64's ( http://www.cointalk.com/t10176-1400/#post1462569), and the best single coin I've found was a Ulysses S. Grant commemorative half (http://www.cointalk.com/t10176-1360/#post1437373).
One friggin' 1967 half. I can't even find an SBA in rolls of dollar coins. The tellers look at me like I'm on crack when I ask if they have any Eisenhower dollars...
I always ask for a box of cents. They look at me funny, and say I don't know what that is. I guess if you don't say pennies they have no clue. I feel your pain.
This is a find from almost 2 years ago, there were 9 90%, the proofs, and then 69 40% - these were out of $360 worth of rolled halves from one of my credit unions.
Scottish your dog avatar keeps scaring my cats (and me) - please find a less evil-looking picture! That's a great score you posted - I'm going to get another $100 in halves but do not expect to find anything based on my meager finding so far.
My doggy really does look like that, and she doesn't scare my 17 and 19 year old cats, she just leaves them alone like she is supposed to.
