How could my first post of 2013 be anything other than a beautiful woman?

And my second post of the new year just to emphasize women, rather that live or dead presidents, belong on coins.

That's a first for me. Haven't seen a coin with braille before.

Surprised it's not more common. But, I guess if you're blind, someone could hand you fake coins anyway.

I have a 2009 Braille Commemorative dollar. I can take a picture and post it tomorrow. - Not sure it belongs in this thread though...

    nice

Midas can you give me some info on the medal on the right? How much does something like that go for? Both medals are pretty nice. Have more like that?

ephyfe, That's one of the dozen or so medals I bought from the French mint ( http://tinyurl.com/beozmpy ) most recently about twelve years ago.
When I get a few moments I'll dig up some reference information and post the other French medals I have.

Mike, Thanks, quite nice, almost like a sculpture. I found the design in the medals section but I don't know if it's the same metal or not, yours looks shinier. ...and I guess it's called Persée et Andromède? http://tinyurl.com/9wm8lj4 Looks like they have a lot of nice stuff. I'll have to go through it when I have the chance. Thanks for the link.
