This guy's cheese must of fell of his cracker, because no one in the right sound of mind would take the time to put little jelly bean stickers on holders. This is the most decorated 2x2, yet, featuring six stickers. He also likes to decorate his slabs, which is the reason I won't ever buy a slab from him. Can you imagine how hard it would be to sit there and peel off all those stickers? Look at the arrow pointing to the Cac sticker! I would not of been able to find that sticker if it wasn't for the arrow! I also wonder where he gets his stickers from?
I've seen worse on ebay, and yup it's a deal breaker. And if the coin is really nice, i won't waste my time, i'll just send it in for a reslab.
Who said I was buying anything? I take a little time out of the day to relax and look for humorous eBay listings.
On the subject of 3 pizzas, I wonder how our OP is doing with that fad diet he was on last fall - or did he fall off the wagon?
He hasn't gotten many messages obviously. Nice to know he has so much flipping idle time that he can uselessly dither about on eBay instead of doing something productive - like learning more about the coins he is buying using his mom's userid and payPal account or.... Gawd forbid - finding a job.
What's with the 1872 Indian cent with the "non issue" sticker? Judging by the big old fat "Genuine" tag on that slab...I think it is an issue.
I've seen this . . . it made me curious . . . Is he doing this because other sales tactics are not working, and he thinks this will, OR Does this really work, if is so, I wonder who is target audience is? Likely not the numismatic community, but perhaps the flea-market crowd, or those that would buy from HSN?
It's a gimmick he employs to help market his wares. It's no less different than the scantily clad ladies that hold up coins in some other auctions. It's all marketing buzz. Is it effective? Not sure, only the seller knows for sure.
I'm still trying to figure out what's stupider, some of detecto's post or the fact that people are still trying to give him advice Tough call
I'd probably be more cognizant than you after downing a bottle of jack daniels and snorting a line of coke
Wouldn't it be a beautiful thing if Tim succeeded beyond our wildest expectations? We could then all say "we knew him when ....". I would love to see him get himself on his adult feet and have a good productive life, and I think a lot of other people here would also love to see that.
I do like to see underdogs come out ahead every now and then, I certainly wish him the best of luck:thumb:, I hope you don't take my posts the wrong way detecto I'm just having a little fun
Sometimes I have trouble recognizing the diff between humour and a valid insult, it's hard to tell that when it's in writing. No offense taken.
