You're comparing apples to oranges. If you want to compare them to something similar, how about slabbed MS67 SQ's? Most won't even cover the grading fees. Slab for slab, the ATB quarters probably won't do any better. I just sold off about a dozen MS68 SQ business strikes which averaged about $90 each, and it is a BIG step down to MS67 values.

I finally made my last order for the ATB S mint mark quarters. Now I have the full set. I bought 3 rolls of the El Yunque when they first came out. This makes me want to put a roll or two on ebay now.

I don't know, I'd say your analogy may be apples & oranges. You're talking grade rarity in an overall huge mintage, which I never did like. These S-Mint ATB's have an overall low mintage, which I like and I'd say they're eventually going to be more in demand than Roosevelt Dimes.

Then you have to factor in the fact that, unlike the 1996w dime, these were sold to very few collectors in rolls & bags, so they are concentrated in very few hands. Will they be hoarded, thereby driving the price up or will they be available for the foreseeable future from flippers, thereby keeping the price low?

Interesting thing I noticed about the mintage I posted above (1,680,140) is that in order to arrive at that mintage only 1 bag and 5 rolls were sold since the prior reported sales. Could be that’s all that remained in inventory, so that mintage is the unaudited final mintage.

PCGS ms67 are about $20 (which is a good price)

All right! Go ahead and compare the S-Mint quarters to the 1996-W dime. You're right! They're exactly the same. While you're at it, why don't you submit some of those S-Mint quarters for grading and a few years from now see what the MS67's will get you on eBay.

You don’t have to be so agreeable, lol. I’d think the S-Mint ATB’s are/will be better than the 1996w dime.

Nah, I don't submit coins. If I like the price of a slabbed high grade, I'll buy it that way. As for the S-Mint ATB's, I'll cherrypick the higher grades and be happy to sell the lower grades when I think they've reached their potential ($10 to $20 each?).

Thats my plan! With the series going into the 2020's, in a few years, as more collectors get interested in the series I fully believe a complete "S" mint MS-67 set will bring a decent premium. With the 68's priced completely out of reach for 90% of the collecting population, I believe the 67's to be worth every bit of what they get at auction for quite some time. That is of course disregarding the obscene bid wars that occasionally arise.

I wish I had bought every 2010 PCGS First Strike ATB Silver I saw on Ebay at the time. They were $200 a set at the time, Now you will get $700 for a set easily at auction. Yeah I know the "nay sayers" will talk about overpriced for just a label, and I fully agree, but they will always be the top dollar set in the future as well. I say why argue with a good profit, thats the American way, and am not ashamed, I'm in this for the money!!!

Yep! The 67's should definitely reach that "potential".

Next years issues will be available in 3 different ways. Single "S" mark bags and rolls just as now, but they will also come with the P & D Rolls. That will probably lead to much higher mintage totals and increased interest in the series for the upcoming years.

You're not adjusting your prediction for the much lower overall mintage for the S-Mint ATB's. Plain old raw ones should be worth $10 to $20 each. Of course the flippers will probably keep the market flooded for awhile.

You can go back through the last few decades and find dozens of examples of lower mintage coins selling for less than higher mintage coins. I can see going after MS67's from the 40's through the 60's, 70's or even 80's, but for the last 10-15 years, 68's are the ticket and 67's will be...............just 67's.

Now that's mixing apples & oranges.

Since supply is fixed, all depends on demand, which could be significant for ATB's. There is no sure thing, all there is, is potential and these rolls have potential.

If all that mattered was condition rarity, Id’ agree with you – but, overall mintage matters as well, as is shown with most prior issues. And, when mintage is low and demand is high, even raw lower grade coins sell at significant premiums, the 1996w dime for one.

And yes, I'm waiting for the demand to appear for the Satins, some are 1/3 the mintage of the S-Mint ATB's.

When the satin's were first introduced in 2005, I ordered 15 of the Mint Sets. I set aside about 100 that will grade 70. I'll sell them all to you for $20 each.

...just a heads up- the Acadia s non-proof quarter brings $300+ ms67 in a PCGS slab

I'm sitting on a bunch of them too. Not so many 2005's, but many 2008's, 2009's & 2010's.
