is this a good cnut penny or is it fake

    Looks like the real deal to me, unless you have reasons to suspect that it's not. Nothing which suggests forgery there.

    I got it from silbury coins.
    im new to colleckting
    and no i have no reason other than it just looks very nice, weight 1,15 gram diameter 17,8 mm

    I think it is quite OK.
    Silbury is a trustworthy dealer and sometimes you'd better choose dealers rather than coins.
    BTW, it is a nice coin and I like it!

    Looks nice quality to me.
    Depends what you paid.I wish I had filled my boots up when a hoard was being sold at £50 to £80 each a few years back.
    You will pay at least 5x that now.

    just a word of warning ashmores fakes were so good some of them are still in the trade today a friend of mine uncovered one at the start of last year. i'd get it properly authenticated by sending a picture to the coins curator at the british museum and asking for their help. it is free and they give a genuine authentication....................

    here is a photo of an ashmore cnut penny sent to me by one of my friends in the trade, look at this and you will see just how good a forger he is, this forgery is a york variety.

    but if yours is genuine it is a superb example of a rare coin.
