1889 guernsey 4 doubles medal alignment ?

    Can anyone tell me more about medal alignments of these coins as far as in aware they are all coin ? The one I have is medal that's all..

    It's exactly the same as any 4 doubles but its medal alignment.

    It is my understanding that many UK coins were produced in medal turn, so I'll leave this for someone else to answer.

    its just confusing as all of my other doubles are coin alignment :S

    i cant find any reference for a medal alignment of this ill take a pic shortly :D

    My old Remick Commonwealth Catalog says nothing about two varieties of the 1889.

    i think it must be a mule, i was just wondering if it was a common mule or a lonesome one ha

    Why would you think it's a mule? Of what coin and what other coin?

    The "Guernesey" spelling persisted until the 1930s.

    BTW,
    I don`t see an "H" mintmark for Heaton, 1885 to 1949 were all struck at Heaton

    There is a tiny tiny shadow of the H if you blow the image up to its largest size; I was looking for the H too.

    On this side of the pond, a mule is a coin that has one denomination on one side and a different denomination on the other, such as a Washington obverse (25c) struck with a Sacagawea reverse (1$).
