I don't know, Lonegun. The sense of accomplishment in destroying a sweet looking coin is more than you may think. Take this one for example: I purposely gave this to my cousin to hold and touch bare hand to see how quick the coin gets fingerprints. Didn't know 6 seconds was so quick.
This one was in transit for 7 days w/Priority! Not to mention the extra couple of days the seller had it, so I was going crazy..... desperately needing my "coin fix"! But it finally arrived and I'm content
http://www.cointalk.com/t218768/#post1590950, not the OP but I seen his original thread which I linked, amazing cherrypick for the OP; I'm sure any one of us would have loved to pick up that coin at that price.
Thanks for the link Bliss, amazing cherry's Red was able to snag. IMO, the Indian's a hotbed for cherrypicking varieties. I've found a couple 1857 FEs with the 50 cent seated clash.
Thanks for posting the link to my pick.....It was a great week for me with the picks. That is my 1st 1858/7 FE though. It a nice addition to my FE/IHC variety page in the Dansco. Its a very nice midgrade coin with all 3 major diagnostics visible. I will eventually send it to get certified. My guess is between VF30 and XF40 depending on the mood of the grader.
