Series 1923 $1 Silver Certificate

    Because I don't know how to move a previous erroneously categorized post, I am re-posting here.
    DOUG: If this is not allowed I apologize, and will hope the original (with no replies) be removed.

    This was presented to Mother when she was not quite fifteen, and has been in the (3 3/16" by 1 9/16") envelope since then.

    Folded in rough sixths, it has some staining at the creases, but looks like it was a crisp, nearly new bill on June 21, 1927.

    All comments & evaluations, etc., are welcome.

    What a nice thing to have as a keepsake from your Mom. The Foxing you see on the note may indeed have come from the moisture absorbed by the envelope over time and the effects of acid impregnated into the paper during the production process...do not try to clean it and get a few Mylar holders for that special note. :):thumb:
