Great pic of the fam Derick! The Moreno coin is fabulous, especially the reverse. A further indictment of the lameness in US coin design.

That coin is definitely welcome in the "Post Beautiful Women" thread! Every time I see a new coin with a beautiful woman, I think: there is a coin I need to acquire. I need to start making a list.

I found this 1943 Belgian Congo 2 Franc Hexagonal coin at the Liberty Coin Show in West Haven CT. :smile

I already had one in the collection. It's too bad about the dark spots that formed on this otherwise bright coin.

    That is cool. Spots happen.

Those look great! I'll bet the toning is fantastic in person.

I do collect US coins, modern key coins and agree. Very little to say about that. The odd circulated commemorative makes things interesting. It is even better with low mintages. I like it more than the modern proof coins. What is not common today can be rare tomorow. A really good coin have a cool design, is in good condition and is even better in low mintage.

Jwt708 - I'm kinda interested in coins from North Korea. I wonder how many of them float around South Korea, and if any are in silver. You will have to report. I like the 2013 Year of the Snake that has the hologram girl with the snake, the silver proof of Kim Jong Il, and the Buddha proof. These are very expensive to order from overseas. You can probably come back with some cool additions to your collection.

Ya, I'm hoping to. There was a thread I started about Korean currency...but once I get there and get a chance to poke around some photos will be up! Also planning on getting some basic tools to help me take better pictures - tripod, etc.
