    Doesn't look like any mintmark to me, but I trust Tom B. I thought the mintmarks on these were stronger?

    Btw OP, the price of a 26S in particular is extremely dependent on grade. Make sure you are an excellent grader of circulated buffalos before you buy a raw one.

    I agree with Tom, that looks like a D to me as well.

    Honestly, I think you guys are seeing things. I don't see any mintmark, just some coloring on the metal that gives the illusion of a D.

    It is a "D" mint mark but very faint.

    I don't think that's a mintmark either. Seems awful small.
