http://www.ebay.com/itm/2009-LINCOLN-CENT-PCGS-MS66-RED-FINEST-DIE-CRACK-ERROR-POP-2-/130464282675?pt=Coins_US_Individual&hash=item1e6046f833 Found this link on eBay. (I realize anyone can ask whatever they want.) I found TWO of these in a mint roll. (Photos of my coins are below...) I realize it's only a die crack, but it's a pretty spectacular one...do you think this coin is worth that amount?
Die crack POP of 2 unless that the copper+bronze/1909 mix from a mint set yes but Maybe? I am sure there more but not graded by Pcgs??? so the Pop could get higher is all I am saying.
I did a lot with Bicentennial Lincolns back in 09. When hot it was great, but since then what it really boils down to is having to find the right person willing to buy and willing to pay. Your coin does display a strong crack, but as you said, it just a die crack. I am sure there are people willing to pay a premium, but how much of one is the question. The seller in the ebay link for $239 (on sale) is likely trolling for a fish, and the costs of certification far exceed the value, even if one is paying for plastic IMO. They are yours to do whatever you wish with them, but if offering as-is, I would not expect too much... a few bucks or maybe more to the "right" person.
Die #1 copper+ Lp1 MS-67 DDR @ Pcgs price guide only @$150.00. Die crack or not a big issue on any copper clad zinc so@ $200.00 + is a high very price for the LP 1.
Oh, I missed the link somehow. Didn't know that it was slabbed. Not sure what to say now, but I wouldn't pay that much for it personally...
It is possible, I suppose. List one at a time, ask high, and see what happens. Who knows... someone could see the same link you did and think yours a steal.
