I got it on the 'Bay a couple years back. It was an auction item, not a BIN and I got it for just over $1100. NGC has graced it with a 66 label. Glad you liked the dime.

Yeah Mike, that dime is an entirely different ball game when it comes to quality toners. Beautiful and cause of much envy.

My offer still stands to properly dispose of that fake dime.

Latest grab at auction--very tough date in MS, like all of the later 80s S mint Morgans. With nice golden toning, even more difficult. Good pickup, as it was priced low for a coin with nice toning. Low pop in any MS grade for Morgans.

They aren't all expensive. You may be surprised!

Natural toning occurs over time for many reasons. It's all about storage conditions, chemicals in album paper, heat, moisture and the chemicals present in the air environment.

    Absolutely!
Buy old albums and put high grade coins in them.
    Set it on a shelf.
Check on the toning progress every 5 or 10 years. :)
Don't be surprised if it takes at least 20 years though.

Give it a try! If you don't, in 20 years from now, you will be kicking yourself and saying: "Man, I wish I would have listened to gbroke that fateful night in December of 2012.".
