For those of you who have gotten some nice notes or coins from bank tellers or have ones that order you boxes of coins on a regular basis, how have you gone about thanking them with some little "gift" ?
I don't go in much for the gift side but, I do make a point of giving "Kudos" simply calling in to the district office and letting them know what a good job one of their employees is doing. (always give the tellers name and branch number if possible) You would be surprised at how effective such a simple act can be
I bring donuts from time to time. As I enter the bank, the girls have their drawers open for inspection.:smile
On Black Friday I gave them a $10 box of chocolates and said, "Thank you." My problem is, I'm small time, so I'm hoping they recognize me in the future.
Yes they'll remember you after that for that. But don't let it be the last time. The memory won't last too long. Bring them a box of Christmas cookies next week. Every 3 or 4 months bring them something. They'll love you for it.
I bank with a lot of banks, like about 40 different branches. I order boxes of Sunkist candy in bulk, which is always popular to give out. But that is not the end, I am a season ticket holder for baseball and hockey games and when we don't go I give the tickets out to tellers that go out of their way. This morning I have a couple of tickets for a play to give away. I have also given out gift cards for McDos, Tim Hortons for those breakfast hot chocolates and restaurants like Olive Garden for tellers that have saved some particularly valuable stuff for me.
My local convenience store sells small bags Of Green Mountain I think coffee in dif Flavors. they make like one pot of coffee. For a few bucks I pick up assorted bags to give to my fav teller. That and a pound of dunkin donuts coffee goes along way to for under $7.00
