Last month I joined the ANA so I can read The Numismatist on my iPad. Must. Read. Everything about coins. I also read coinweek.com. What are your favorite coin news resources either online or print?
My grandfathers used Numismatic News' I get all of his old copies.......although the good deals are usually gone by the time i get them
This forum is actually one of my favorite news sources. :thumb: I read an occasional Numismatist and I agree it's a great publication, I also read an occasional CoinWorld but regularly I don't read anything. Maybe this year I'll join the ANA since Jeff Shevlin the "so called dollar" guy became an Exec Director of the organization. He's in my coin club!! Go Sacramento!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.money.org/communications...shevlin-named-new-ana-executive-director.aspx
I think the last breath-taking news I got was that the King of Siam set didn't clear it's reserve and so never opened at auction. That was the late 80's. So I just read Numismatic News and the TAMS journal whenever I get around to them. Maybe I should catch up on that before the world ends in a few more weeks.
Coin World Coin Dealer Newsletter (greysheet) I get the Numismatist but don't find much that interests me.
coinnews.net is another good one. There is also an rss news feed on coinshowradio.com that links to all kinds of news stories from the world of coins
CoinLink is no longer updating its news, and to continue to receive the timely articles you’ve grown to trust and enjoy, you should come visit us on CoinWeek! http://www.coinweek.com/
That's OK, Doug. I didn't know about either one. Coin Week is quite informative and I'll be visiting the site often. Thanks for that one.
The Celator, ONS newsletter, discussions at my ancient coin club..... Yeah, I have NN and ANA magazine too.
I like them all, or at least all that I subscribe to. Numismatic News, World Coin News, CoinAGE Magazine, Numismatist, and very recently the Central States quarterly called The Centinel, which is an excellent publication.
