I'll get my dump bank tellers donuts and pizza on occasion. Everybody else gets godiva for the holidays. Depending on the size of the branch, one to three bags. I'll probably lay out $200 on candy this season, haha. Worth it.

Grams better get a kick ass christmas present. :)

$25 in BWR pennies: 32 wheats total, oldest was '34. That is by far the most wheats I've found in a box. 625 keepers, highlights being two '82-D small dates.

    Today's results:

    $100 Quarters: Skunk.

$2 Nickels: Actually one roll out of a bunch I dropped and didn't notice when picking up the others, until I was plugging in something, saw it. 2 X 1942P. One was a War nickle, the other was not. The War has a higher mintage of the two, by the way.

Called a local bank and found out that they had $180 worth of Half Dollars. When I got there, the teller told me not to waste my time because if I was looking for silver, I'd be out of luck. HA! After inspecting the halves, there were 8x40%ers and a 1973-S. :)

Box of Nickels: 2xCanadian (1985, 1998), 44 pre-1960 including a 1944-P War Nickel and a nice 1934-D Buffalo (only 7 Million minted). Also, found the bottom coin in the picture in the Box of Nickels. I know SQUAT about foreign coins especially those that I can't read. Can anybody identify it for me???

    What is that bottom coin?

That box of halves with the ender, you guessed it, that was the only silver in the whole box.
That has happened way too many times.

If I'm seeing your pic clearly, looks like a 1981 Iraqi 10 Fils. Run a magnet over it - if it doesn't stick, I'm right. If not, then it's a different year.

    Nov 26-28th finds

Monday I found 15 40%ers and one badly tarnished 1964 Kennedy half dollar.
    Tuesday 3 dimes, 1950-D, 1960-D and 1964-D.
Wednesday I found another 1964 that used to be glued to something and 10 40%ers. I got these from a teller that is saving half dollars for me! She handed me the 5 Franklins and 2 walkers last time...these she got n the last two weeks! I hope more keep coming...

I also found 3 dateless buffalos and a 1943 steel cent and a very nice 1944-P war nickel.

Yes, almost right. After inquiring in the World Coins forum, I have been informed that it's an Iraqi 5 fils coin from 1981. I haven't tried the magnet yet. After researching the coin, it was minted under the dictatorship of Saddam Hussain and it is no longer minted in Iraq. Thanks for your help!

Wow, so close. I'm gonna have to see what the difference is between the 5 and the 10. I like trying to find unknown coins for people because we both end up learning something!

Good volume, not a ton of silver. Perhaps your error coin is worth a couple silver dimes in trade to someone.

Cashed in a box of halves on my lunch break. The teller opened her drawer to get my cash and I saw a silver Roosie in her tray at the very bottom. I asked nicely if she would allow me to buy it from her. She said "oh the silver one". She mentioned how good of an eye I had and sold it to me for $0.10. She said she knew she was saving it for a reason. I asked her if she wanted it and she said "what would I do with it, give it to your kids". This teller has always been very nice even when cashing in boxes of halves, now she's saving me silver at face value.

I'll take that all day every day.
