An 1811 from the album. I think I have two 1811's, will have to visit it later.

S-287. Not the overdate, so only one die marriage.

S-289, large date. Another that I'd like to upgrade. But it does have pleasant surfaces.

So do we have both types of the 1814 amongst us? Here's the plain 4 (s-295)....

As an aside, I can remember in another thread we discussed why the obverse of a coin tends to wear more quickly than the reverse. Here's an example of a coin that wore the opposite way, due to a lack of a rim on the reverse at striking -- an exception to that rule. The 1811 Mark posted a few coins up had the same characteristic. Just curious....

    S-294, crosslet 4.

Do we take tomorrow off or jump right to 1816?

She's well-worn AND corroded, but I really like the look of this coin, personally, because of its originality.

Looks like a nice coin to me Leadfoot.

Thanks, I liked that coin the second I saw it. Like most of my decisions on coins, frankly. Either they speak to me or they don't. That one did...despite its "problems".
