I forgot I had these stashed away and figured I post them /show them off. I have two more sheets that I will post as soon as I get my scanner figured out.
Fearless Leader! (below) And Peerless Leader! (above) Where's the Fat Kid... I mean, whatsisname...
Juan - When I saw the video I was hoping for this. Though I'm sure your version is probably closer to reality. But isn't it nice to dream...
The people waving the pink/red thingies at the end remind me of this (No cultural disrespect intended)
FurryFrog02- I'm waiting for the fat kid to break-out his branded Nike trakkie, LOL p.s. since when did Disney open up a theme-park in embargoed NK? http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0712/78201.html
Read the first paragraph again. Did you notice the word "unauthorized"? Kim used the characters without permission. North Korea is wont to do things like that.
I have a few North Korean notes in my collection: http://www.panix.com/~clay/currency/North-Korea.html
I've seen a bunch of those in ChCu at my local coin shop, but never purchased any since I usually don't collect world notes. Do any have value over the $1 - $2 asking price?
The writing is backwards. Instead of saying 1 won(il won) it says won il, won oh(won 5), won ship(won 10), and won bek(won 100). The back above the mountain says : san jo ju min. Now I've only spoken Korean for 5 years and don't claim to know much about older North Korea(n) but I know they call themselvles Jo San Min ju ju wee in min gong hwa guk. So the first part seems backwards to me. PS - sorry for the terrible romanization. When I normally type Korean it's either in Korean or SKATs. I suck with romanization.
