Given the obvious creases in it, I doubt it would be worth much more than a novelty premium. Say, $5-$15 in a retail setting.

Also, it can't be all of the things you listed. The mirror/flip note thing would be 86688998, not what you showed.

due to condition i would think there isn't going to be much premium. some of these names you are giving this note are what people on ebay use to get people to spend more than they should on a note. yes it is a binary as well as a radar and technically a repeater. i have been collecting for a long time and never heard the term flipper note. it's a great find for face value but i don't see much more than that. :thumb:

this is the definition of flipper note that i found " Note with a serial number comprised of numerals that can be read upside down as well as right side up: 0, 1, 6, 8, 9"

so if my mine reads 86688668 then upside down would be 89988998. right?

someone here referred me to this site for different notes. the flipper is listed. not being argumentative, just trying to learn and understand.

no its not problem at all. you came to the right place to find out what you need to. there are a million and one different names used for notes. it's always better to ask them just assume :D. i checked out the site and see what they mean by a flipper note. the site is run by on of the great members on this site. he knows a lot about currency. honestly to me a flipper note seems more like a gimmicky thing. just like with ladder notes. people go crazy on ebay selling partial ladder notes. also just a gimmick. i use to work at a bank and if i was to take out all the so called gimmick notes i probably could have made tons of money. but i would feel i wasn't really representing the collecting community properly. call me a purist. either way your note is a great to pick up for face value :thumb:

Ty for not taking that wrong way. It seems like a very informative site. I have been told flippers have no premium but I figugered it made it sound a little prettier. Is it a repeater too?

I'd like to have one, too, but 7 digit serials are very hard to find.

Close, but no cigar. That's an 8 digit serial. Seven of the eight happen to be 2s. Zero is a digit, also.

    Nice note, BTW.

Whatever do you mean? Zeroes count!

Back in the era of large size notes, leading zeroes were omitted and finding a 7 digit serial number was possible. Here's an example of a 4 digit note:

It is possible to find a 7 digit small size note, but they are rare. It is called a stuck digit error, and part of the number is usually showing. My apologies for the small size; I couldn't find a bigger version.

How about a 9 digit serial number? Check out the 2nd note. The number wheel had to be positioned by hand to print this:
