I don't know a lot about proofs as I pretty much just collect silver coins. I was going through rolls of nickels today and I pulled a 1962 and 1963 Nickel out of the same roll. How much are they worth? I know probably not a lot, but just curious because these are the first proofs I have ever pulled out of any coin. Sorry if the picture isn't that good I used my iphone.
I can't tell anything from your photo, but if they have any scratches, nicks, marks or dings from being in contact with the other coins, they would probably be considered an "impaired proof". Despite the fact that the Red Book is rather generous in their values, at PF65 the coins are listed at $1.25. Chris
My guess is that there is no response because the pics are not good enough. They look like proof nickels, anything else is a guess.
Unfortunately the others are correct. If these are impaired from being in a roll with other nickels, the value is not a lot. Proof Jeffersons from the 60s, would need to be cameo or deep cameo, to carry any kind of premium value, otherwise they sell for around $1-$2 each. PR65 cameo and deep cameo Jeffersons, for those years, is $15/$22 respectively.
I am just happy I found them in a roll. I know they aren't worth much, but they only cost me .05 so its pretty cool.
Which is exactly how I feel! I know I didn't hit the jackpot, its just nice to find something worth more than a nickel. Found a 1936 Buffalo today too!
