Some of these coins are from the Mexican Revolution. Mostly all are 90% silver. What do you guys think??? Of the set & the value... :welcome::)

Awesome set!! Would love to have an album like that. Where did you find it? I could almost fill half of it now.

Cool! Thanks man! I bought it from my uncle that lives in Mexico. His uncle gave it to him when he was just a boy & he sold it to me for only $120 because he needed the money. I was more then happy to give him $120 for the set! Every coin is there in the whole set! I am planing on framing it & hanging it on my wall soon.

Nice collection, Chico! No idea of the value, but it's certainly more than you paid for it. Thanks for sharing.

Nice collection. I have a blue whitman folder for 20th century Mexican, about 3/4 full. Its full of the silver, I have just gotten around to buying the scarce copper types.

Have you ever attempted to collect the rare issues from Oaxaca and other locales issued locally during the revolution? I have a few of these.

Thank you! Yes, I love old & rare Mexican silver coins! I bought an 1897 8 Reales G. R. S.from Guanajuato and that one is in Uncirculated condition. I also bought a El Cazador Ship Wreck Coin from 1783 & that one is graded as a Top Grade & Genuine by NGC. It's amazing on the condition of that coin because it was in the ocean for over 200 years! It's one of my prized coins because of the history behind it on how it could of change the USA & possibly the world if that ship didn't sink. But I really would love to add some more coins from the revolution times in Mexico.

Many collectors do not appreciate the importance of Mexican coinage not only to Mexico and the US, but the entire world. In the 19th century the Mexican silver was the most trusted, widely traded coin in the world. It was the default international coinage.

If you do not already have some good books on Mexican coinage, I would highly recommend getting some. As much as I love 20th century Mexican coins, I love 19th century even more. The vast array of types, mints, etc is staggering. If I wasn't into ancients as much as I am, I would definitely be a bigger collector of 19th century Mexican coins.

Hard to tell without seeing the grades better, but I would say $700-800 as a guess, and I very well could be low.
