Just found this mundane Canadian, but I just can't let this circulated coin not get a little limelight.
Well, what do you know, I just found another one just hiding in the hoard. And I thought the 500 Lire I received today was my first ship coin.

This is another version of the Monitor token. I call it the curved water version although I'm sure it has a technical number. The reverse is missing the cannon balls that is seen on my other one among other subtle differences. I reposted these pics to make comparing easier. There is another Monitor token that I know of and the dies are super pitted and easy to see without magnification, so I pass on spending any real money on an example. Matt
