Not many halves to find today. Nothing out of a couple rolls worth. Did pick up 3 ikes.

Not too much to show for $200 in nickels and $25 in pennies. Just a steel cent, a nice 1935 Buffalo and 1945-P war nickel:



Tell you what, though: I am enjoying building my buffalo herd!

 

Looks like I start nights on Monday. Time to branch out next week, find some ready and willing banks and get my volume up to 50-60 boxes a week.

 

Oh my god, haha, WF just called me and told me they're gonna have two $1k bags of Ike dollars waiting for me next Tuesday, along with my first order of $2k in halves, sweet!

Unheard of, I hope there are some Peace $'s or something older mixed in there. You could also get some 40% IKES. Can you sell the remaining IKES to an LCS and make and profits?

I don't know of any around here that buy over face, I have $450 laying around right now, cause I never got to cash in that batch I had laying around.

EDIT: If anybodys LCS buys for decently over face and you want to make a deal, hit me up, I'm sure we can figure something out that works for both of us.

 

You could try selling them on ebay, for some reason people pay a premium and even after the fees you might be able to make $10-15 for every $100 you sell. I guess the thing would be putting too many on at one time would flood the market and you might not do as well.

I have heard of LCS paying like $1.05 each but not around my parts. You could just dump them in a bag at TD right?

Not worth it if they tie up my funds again... plus breaking them down into $100 batches and liquidating them? That's a lot of packages and time to waste doing all that crap. I'm much more inclined to take 5% profit and let someone else do all that lol.

Yeah, I think I can bag dump them. I honestly don't give a crap if they have to count 'em, I'll dump them anywhere that will take them lol.

The ? is, is it worth more than $0.05? I don't currently have a nickle collection and did not really intended to start one.

Holy crap, I'm jealous on the Ike dollars!!

 

Nice lookin' buffalo. I am at the end of my buffalo hunt now...last box of 21. Ready to find a steelie like the one you got there (sittin' on 20 boxes of cents). Very nice finds!

Two boxes of halves on my lunch, skunked. That hasn't happened in a while! haha.

 

Just some info. Around me, no coin shops will pay over face for Ikes. I've sold Ikes in $50-100 lots on ebay, and make between 5 and 10 cents per coin. Generally I don't find it worth my time, and will just dump Ikes after looking through them.

I can't wait to see your results with that kind of volume. I know there are some that do 80-100 (I think that is the number that I have heard going around), but never seen the results of those folks...at least not to my knowledge. Keep us posted Fade...
