Nickels:

Box #1 - 1 Beautiful Buffalo (1913 Type 1), 1 War (1944S), a cool toned 2005, but hard to get a pic of its tones

 

Wow. 1913 Buff! Impressive. Doubtful, but anybody out there ever find a Type 2 roll hunting?

 

$168 in nickels yielded 2 war nickels, 16 40's, & 19 50's. Lowest mintage was a 51-D. Also 2 Canadian (one was a '62, oldest Canadian nickel I've found), an Australian nickel and an American dime.

 

Past few days:

Two boxes of halves: Nothing
$410 CWR halves: Nothing
$92.50 loose halves: Four 40%, one '64
$5 Ikes: Nothing of interest. Four of them are pretty gross, not even going to bother holding on to them.

 

Nickels:

Box #1 - 1 Buffalo (1917 that has seen better days)
Box #2 - 1 Buffalo (dateless), 2 War (43'P, 44'P)

These last few boxes really make up for my 3 skunks prior. Hoping the results continue like this on my next few boxes

 

I miss being able to easily get boxes of nickels, ugh... stupid banks.

 

Really?...that sucks! My favorite coin...Some banks give them more freely than others in my neck of the woods. Decided to concentrate on Nicks and picked up 20 boxes (not all at once). Doing my last 3 of 20. Then off to halves and cents (sittin' on 12 boxes of cents now and getting 8 more this coming week).

on a funny and light note, I made a casual visit to my coin dealer today and he gave me an Arkansas coin. The bottom of the obverse says "Head Quarters". I'd post a link to a pic, but since it's adult in nature, I'll just tell ya to google image "Clinton Joke Quarter".

Box #8 of Halves Skunk. Now how did that dollar coin find it's way in there? Mine now!

Interesting dime box today. A pretty standard '48 roosie and '63 canadian:




This guy REALLY caught my eye on the edge search. Clearly gold! I was pretty disappointed to find it was a plated clad dime. Why would anyone do that?
