Bought a roll of wheat heads with both ends being 1909 VDB.
    Total finds worth posting:

    1890, 03, 05, 06 IH
    1909
    2x 1909 VDB
    4x Steelies
    2x High Grade 1958

Was looking to resell them, was hoping to get that rare 1909 S VDB but I didn't get that lucky.

Anyone have a rough estimate what the 1909s and IH's are worth?
    1909 is probably VF20
    1909 VDB 1 is probably XF40
    1909 VDB 2 is probably AU50

    1890 IH is probably XF40
    1903 IH is probably VF20
    1905 IH is probably VF20
    1906 IH is probably VF20

Please don't buy these again thinking you will get "lucky" becuase you never will. There all pre wrapped by the seller made to look amazing.

It was bank crimped and the wrapper looked old, is it possible the seller did that?

not trying to sound rude, just a noobie and was wondering that for future.

Yes, there are hand crimpers you can buy out there for like $5 that will make it look machine rolled... do you know what the odds are of a random roll of wheat cents having two vdb's, let alone one on each end, let alone both being tails-side up?

    Inestimably small. Common sense, dude...

it was advertised as a 1909 and a 1909 VDB enders. Just happened they were both 1909 VDB

Alright, what are the odds of two 1909 anythings being on the end of a wheat roll?

Slightly higher, but still inestimably small. Common sense, dude...

Moral of the story is dont do it again. What's it worth resale?

I don't know why the OP paid so much for one roll of "unsearched" pennies. I used to buy the same type of rolls for only $5-$6 each and I had similar results as what the OP posted.

I just spent $24.00 on a similar roll from a seller who has never sold coins before. I know I just blew my money, but I like taking chances on ebay newbies. Ya never know. If it is paydirt I can guarantee my feedback will be something like "lot's of common dates, fast shipping". You don"t advertise the mother load!

Gotta take a chance once and awhile, can't always be just nickels and dimes.

You have the same chances or maybe better just by buying rolls at the bank. To me, to pay outrageous amounts for one roll from a scammer is ridiculous. This is how they thrive. They give you hope that you'll find something amazing in their rolls when in fact, they know exactly what each roll contains. If you've watched ebay for the last decade, you'll see thousands of these "seeded" rolls up for auction. Just how many unsearched rolls out there actually contain a flying eagle or a 1909 on the end? According to these sellers' auctions, there are hundreds upon hundreds.

    It's a scam. Nothing more.

I've actually had more luck finding stuff in the rolls from my bank than from my coin dealer. I have yet to get a 1909 anything from my dealer but I ended up with a 1909 vdb from the bank once...Not exactly was I was hoping for but still lol.
