Series 1999 $1 FRN District Designator Variance

    Oh...I thought maybe it was a bunch of $1s with a huge errors :)

    I'm not sure what you're getting at here.... :confused:

    The first note looks normal. The second and third are the "small D4" error.

    Are you talking about the positioning of the "D4" relative to the serial number and the engraved border? That's rather variable even on normal notes. If you look at the position of the "D4" relative to the black Fed seal, it looks to be the same on both of your error notes. Here's one I found in circulation years ago, for comparison....

    I think you nailed it numbers. Is the small D4 error common?

    You're right. When I overlay the second and third notes, it is an exactly match.

    Thanks for the clarification Numbers. From the pics Clay posted earlier I thought i saw a difference in all three.
