It should help conserve it from further corrosion, right?

IMO, yes, but not significantly. It will, however, keep the corrosion from getting worse. Wait for Thad for the final answer.

Thanks guys. I know it not going to help the back much but at least stop it from getting worse.

I have used it on badly corroded Draped Bust large cents to conserve them from further deterioration. I figured I had nothing to lose as the coins, while old and cool, are not very valuable. I figure that while many better examples exist, these still deserve preservation efforts.

Too late to save obviously....but VC will halt the corrosion process.

Too bad you didn't see the damage earlier , verdicare would have preserved it , as it will now in the same condition it's in .

Bought it that way to fill my spot in my book. Got it for $40. Thought it was a nice filler coin.

Seems like a fine price for a filler coin of this type.

And to think, I passed up a VG for $15.

I totally spaced out on the fact it was a 09-S when I saw it. Oh well.

There's only one VC and that's my product. I offer a discount to CT members, just drop me a PM.

to bad whoever owned that coin didn't make a better effort.i don't like anything on my coins except proper care no chemicals.i do know that most coins prior to 1900 have been cleaned instead of taken care of properly, but that was accepted then and still is but i find it unacceptable.

The way I see it, for $40, if VC can halt any further verdigris progression, you got a good deal. It's a big step towards a full album, in a price range that many of us can still afford.
