I met Chuck in Iraq in '07 and got an autographed picture of him, great guy really cares about all the Service members but really loves the Marines. Guess its to be expected since they made him an Honorary Marine.
Well, it is different. Something was spilled on it. I would have to see it in hand before I formed my opinion.
I've never seen that type of toning on a cent.. reverse looks more stained than toned. I like the deep colors on the obv, but am not a fan of the lack of luster on the obv. Definitely one to see in hand.
Yeah I really like that one. that is the first coin I actually have gone all out on a bidding war to win it and finally got it in the end.
Finally got around to taking a better pic of this coin, they are not perfectly round because i had to angle the slab which is also trashed....Enjoy:thumb:
Nice one! I have the same problem with my slabbed toners. I usually don't crop them roundlike though.
Heres another one same problem but it seems to be the only way to capture the toning, one day i will have them true-viewed...
I got this ASE in a "100 years of Silver Dollars" display. All of the coins were toned pretty wildly.
