    Today's score, a sealed/unopened box of 10 2008 W Burnished Silver Eagles!!!

How much would you pay for a shot at a 08/07 reverse?

I'll post what I paid (in a poorly advertized auction) later.

What would I pay? Bullion value. They really don't interest me. The gambling odds do not impress me enough to warrant a higher premium.

    +1 Maybe $2-$3 above spot.

That is a pretty dandy item- those who would only pay spot would miss a fun opportunity to roll the dice

Bid on a 2008 W eagle is around $55. 6 months ago, I could sell them for around $60 each. I just bought a big group of them, and sold most of them for $45. So around $38 each is what I would pay right now.

By "unopened box", are you referring to the shipping container or the mint packaging inside it? If it is the shipping container, you can pretty much tell by the shipping date if there could be any 07 Reverses. Less than 30 days after the initial Mint release, there were no 07 Reverses coming from the Mint.

Unopened shipping container sounds like it shipped on a boat. How about unopened brown cardboard box that coins were packed in.
