I believe its a real coin, the toning is hiding the details though.

since he has a high score i don't really get why he would even list it and you would think ebay would pull the listing.i don't know which it is,but he needs to pay closer attention.interresting find to say the least.

I've got one like this I recently got in a slab grab bag... I know I would have never called it a MS66

I've got some really nice coins from sellers that use scans to sell coins on eBay.

+1 It probably is MS. 64? Now, that is debatable.

I really do not see the full top band. Plus, it looks like the top band is damaged. Weird.

The problem with “professional” graders who don’t know what eye appeal is. Or, this coin toned that way after it was slabbed – I’ve seen this when the dip wasn’t removed completely.

I was thinking toned in slab as well.

    What Were They Thinking?

In my opinion, someone has taken "market grading" to a new level. I believe that coin is marginally almost uncirculated. "Full Bands"? I have thousands of coins like this that are in tubes marked EF/AU. I only see one full band, and although the vertical lines are separated, the diagonal bands are barely raised/complete. Uniform MS64 "attractive mint luster"? I'm sorry, but I've been seeing too much of this lately, and wonder how anyone can define coin grades, when the A.N.A. technical grades are so disregarded by TPG.

I would bet the grade is correct but we can't see it from those images.
