Didn't pick up any coin today, but I did add 4 more boxes to my weekly rotation... that brings me up to an average of 27 boxes a week if all goes well.

It aint that many, Mr. O. There's people out there that roll 80+ boxes a week. I'd cap out around 40 I think.

Are either of those 1943 nickels D mint? 1943D is the key to the silver nickel series and I have yet to find one.

Went to my bank this afternoon to make a deposit.

I noticed about a dozen 40% halves in the tray and asked to buy them. The teller says she's keeping them. I hate it when that happens!

You need to be more demanding. You are the customer, you get what you want. Next time, or even go back tomorrow, and demand them. If she refuses, ask for a manager. If they refuse to be of help, call corporate and complain. Tellers are there to serve you and your interests not their own.

UNBELIEVABLE find in the coin reject slot!

Got an entire roll of pre-1954 nickels today. Two war nickels in it: 1943-P and 1945-S. Got a third war nickel (1943-P) from a different roll. Also found a 1962 dime, a 1964 half and a 1965 half. Not a lot of silver but a nice mix.

HOWEVER, the best find came from the reject slot at the coin counting machine. Check out the photo...yes, that is a 14k gold ring with four small diamonds!

$40 in cents, 2 wheats, 1 GVI from 1947, 10 YH, a Bermuda cent from 1970 and the coin that made me shudder when it fell out of the roll - a 1942-J 1 pfennig in zinc from nazi Germany. I wasn't really too amused by that find.

$50 in nickels, couple from the 40's, 6 from the fifties and three pre 1981 Canadians.

$220 in dimes - 1954-D, 1957, and 1964(X2) - that is right, four silver babies.

    I love my credit union.:D
