You can send it in to me. I have a capsule that should fit a quarter. Or do you want a cardboard 2x2? I can label it however you want for 5 bucks.
Ill certify it for you just send me a coin world slab and the coin. It is of upmost importance that you have an expert certify this fine specimen.
Yes, you have to send it to an expert to certify and encapsulate in a pristine white cardboard 2X2, lined expertly by unknown machines with 100% virgin Mylar and lovingly handled at only the edges. Once within the confines of the 2X2 the expert will use only the best staples in his flat stapler.
That coin is nothing but trouble for you. Now you'll have to find a way to post it in every thread to belittle every OP's special coin.
I just can't believe it. How in the world did the Easter Bunny beat Santa Claus in a bar fight? It just boggles the mind.
The Easter Bunny spiked Santa's egg nog with GHB (Great Hair from the Bunny) and it made Santa all wobbly. The Easter Bunny took advantage of him before Santa's elves or reindeer could interfere.
That is what makes this coin so special, the circumstance. But to answer your question, the leprechaun was very hush about it, but he did elude to the fact that Santa had been nipping at the eggnog for many hours and the Easter bunny snuck him from behind. Clearly, all things being equal, Santa would have destroyed the Easter bunny.
You really do have to watch out for leprechans. They are sly and sneaky. The leprechan was actually decoying the elves and reindeer from the situation so the Easter Bunny could do his dastardly work.
You are aware that the Chinese have been counterfeiting these for years. I would suggest taking it to your nearest jeweler and having it weighed. Make sure the Popsicle stick has been calibrated. Proper weight for a copper 25 cent piece should be 14 grams. Also the D looks like it might have been added. You might have an altered 1988 P which would be worthless. IMHO
Worthless? you must not have read the rest of the thread where I said it was already authenticated by my trusted copper pipe specialist at the local hardware store which I have been a customer for many years. Why would they lie?
Please keep this thread on topic. We need to talk more about this true one-of-a-kind error more. If we stray too far off topic, we'll get this thread closed! :foot-mouth:
Honestly, after reading sonlarson's post, I'm beginning to think this coin is a cast fake. It just doesn't seem to have the right level of detail to be legit. Just my 2 cents. I might be wrong. Please don't take this personally. If it's real, I'd like to be your very close one and only friend in case you die.
Oh definitely need multiple videos and music too. I think the artist should be ,........ Vanilla Ice.... ice ice baby
And post links and pics of it incessantly at every opportunity whenever there is a mention of error, quarter, wrong planchet, copper, rare, 1988 or D mint.
I'm sure if you send it to one of the International Numismatic Companies it'll be sure to come back as at least an MS68 or 69. Just be sure to avoid NGC & PCGS since we all know that they're being paid off by the dealers and would falsely try to underrate your one of a kind find.
