Some really nice lime green notes. I'm going to be keeping an eye out for some of them. But anyway here is another recent addition,
This just floors me -- star notes were supposed to replace error notes, right? How is it possible that a star error slipped by?
Clay - like your set (CRAZY nice), but I hate to break it to you, that Richmond is not an LGS... Here's a new acquisition - another large FRBN, this one from Atlanta. This one is the Teehee/Burke Bell/Wellborn signature, which along with the T/B Bell/McCord combo are the rarest of the $1 FRBN releases. I actually have the McCord too, and I'd normally sell it but I think I like having both...
Now you've gone too far! [ translation : I'd like to see that too - I expect to, right after I win a huge lotto jackpot and a meteorite lands on my head ]
Looks a bit limier in this picture, but the previous one it really looked Blue Green, plus it's sort of in the "no mans land" for known serials of lime notes from Richmond. Highest shown in Schwartz/Lindquist is 066#####. The bad news is since I am looking for a lime $10 Richmond as well, if yours is blue green, then that's TWO in the market for a lime E...
My latest serial #12....besides the great centering, I love that it's serial #12 on the 12th district.
Let's post another new Greek note shall we? Really like this one, a 1923 5 Drachma that looks ABNCo but it's Bradbury, another quality note producer. This actually showed up in hand tons nicer than the original auction picture - it looked maybe F but it's a very solid VF with very stiff paper. Taking bad picture of your note = lower price for me. Win!
Picked up these two recently..... 2001 F* FW 640,000 2006 IA* 3.8 mill Photos were taken through the plastic holder and the notes are like brand new crisp...
Bought these sight unseen for cheap and I was very happy when they arrived today... I think they are Gem and they have 4 digit serials...
1953A and 1953B $5 Silver Certificates - Gem Uncirculated 1934D $5 Silver Certificate and 1934C $5 Silver Certificate - Gem Uncirculated 1928D and 1928F $2 Legal Tender - AU 1934C $10 FRN - Very Fine; 1934B $10 FRN - Crisp Uncirculated 1935A $1 North Africa Silver Certifcate (Very Fine w/ stains) and 1957B $1 Silver Certificate Autographed (Crisp Uncirculated) 1917 $1 Legal Tender (Very Fine, Stained)
Well I haven't displayed any new notes as I have been fighting my scanner, it's been out of focus on scans just a bit but it bugs me, so I am buying a new one today. BUT I did manage to finally set up my 1966 note frame, complete set, 1966, 1966*, and 1966A, from VF-XF. Looks damn good, one of my new favorite frames.
Wow, alot of folks sure liked that last frame - guess I better post the other frame I updated. This is my gold frame, I have added the 100's to it - no more room at this point, so it's DONE! Unless I mix and match, I have a small frame with an 1880 $20 and a $10,000 Gold note in their own little frame, something might swap here and there - thinking of moving the 1880 $100 to the little frame and popping the big daddy $10k in the big frame. We'll see...
Looks awesome! I really like the presentation... If there was a "Love" button I would have pushed that too, Nice Work!
That display looks like something you'd see at a show. I love that large size $100 Gold Certificate it really makes that frame pop!
Nice frame, Mr. I can afford all these fancy notes. Any plans for the small size $500 or $1000 golds? I was just in a bank the other day talking to a teller. Apparently he knows what's up when it comes to money. A lady brought in a crisp $500 gold certificate about 6 weeks ago that she found in her grandfather's photo album, and ask for change in hundreds. He told her he wanted to have it and offered to exchange it with her personally. He didn't have $500 in cash on him, and he would be fired if caught switching it with the money from the drawers. She agreed to come back in a few hours, but she never did. Turns out the process for taking in high denominations is an annoying one and full of large amounts of paperwork.
