Another thread on here got me thinking that it would be cool to own a note with my birthday as the serial #. I'm not a currency collector and it really wouldn't matter to me what denomination the note is but a $2 would be cool. I went to ebay and put in 12231974 and had no luck. The search probably won't work like that and most sellers don't seem to list non-unique serial's anyway. So how would I go about tracking something like this down? Is this going to be a needle in the haystack type of search?
Great Idea.. I went and put my birthday in on ebay and got 1 result.. now what am I going to do with a part for a Maytag washing machine? LOL..
According to Google, the binary code for my birthday is 101010111101100000010111, I will be expecting a birthday card from all of you.
I got 91 results on eBay, including but not limited to underwear and radiator hoses. Someone should make a website where people can search for and buy/sell/trade paper money by serial number.
Serial numbers are 8 digits, so for example by birthday would be 04201992 Know what also would be neat, a phone number! Example 08675309
Know what also would be neat? Someone finding your Birthday Note on a $2 bill from series 2003 in mint condition! Know what also would be neater still? If I had a mailing address to send this Birthday Note to its proper home
Here are the lists I maintain for The WheresGeorge Forum. Over the last year there has been almost no activity on this list. I would bet most of the notes in the available area are no longer available. I updated this to work - sorry.
