Today I acquired the rarest, most spectacular error the world has ever seen. A 1988-D all copper quarter.

Why would you come here saying that this great error looks like it is an acid bath. Obviously this is the greatest, most valuable coin ever and you can't handle the fact that it is mine.

    Well that's better.

If anybody is wondering if it is genuine, I have proof. I brought it to a hardware store that specializes in copper pipes and the guy that cuts the pipes said that it is definitely copper. Who would know better than a guy that looks at copper all day?

I would love to give you a price on this magnificent piece, but it is not for sale. It was given to me by a leprechaun who stole it from the Easter bunny who got it away from Santa after a bar fight. True story. I could never part with a coin like this.

well in that case I don't blame you for wanting to keep it after that leprechaun gave it to you. be careful though that leprechaun may be trying to buddy up to you so he can steal your gold.

Too bad it isn't for sale. I would love to own that full copper quarter. So much so that I would pay you so I owned it but you get to keep it. I know that's the only way I could own such a valuable piece of history and one that has such rarity. But if you aren't selling it, I definitely couldn't insult you by offering 10.3 million dollars in gold for it. I know you have your pride.

I could be wrong, but I think you may have an all copper 1988 quarter struck on a 1992 planchet.
    Nice!

Thanks for understanding guys, a piece like this only comes around once in several lifetimes.

Thanks for the leprechaun warning though, you can never be too careful with a piece like this.

What do you mean, this is the greatest, most desirable coin ever produced. I'm going to have it graded by some obscure guy with a grading service.
