Glad it worked out. Don't forget to leave feedback indicating that the coins were counterfeit. And, again, please consider listing the seller's ID here.

Here's the listing for the auction, as you can see if you click on completed listings there is more than just me that got scammed. I'm waiting for the money to actually come back into my account before I leave feedback(refund is pending- not posted yet)

I'll take some better pictures of the rest of the coins here in a minute, still haven't opened 3 of the rolls, but I'm not expecting anything major.

    eBay ID: overnack931

Okay this is sickening I just opened the rest of the rolls and this is what I discovered. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Sad, this is the first big time scam I've seen through eBay. The dime was stuck in the center of one of the rolls trying to appear as a silver dime. Sorry I brought this to the forum, but I guess this shows this crap is still going on out there.

Please... don't be sorry. One of the reasons this forum exists is to educate buyers in regards to the practices of certain eBay sellers. "Unsearched" rolls might be one of the biggest "scams" that the novice buyer falls victim to. This thread, from the very beginning, shows what to avoid, and what action to take if you fall prey to the sales pitch of the unscrupulous seller. Thanks for posting, and hopefully a few potential buyers will be alerted and learn to steer clear of these auctions.

    Those "BU" Lincolns are cleaned.

FWIW, I've gotten at least one each, and several multiples, of every S-mint cent from 09 through 21 from "unsearched" rolls. Along with about 15 different years IHC's, 2 FE's and a lot of garbage.

It's a wash as far as value received vs price paid.

If I was a high-level employee of eBay I would ban the sale of unsearched rolls all together. They are a huge scam. No one in their right mind is going to list a truly unsearched roll. Lots of the rolls have dimes on the ends, people did not hand roll dimes in with the pennies.

I love the ones were they put a 1909-S on the end and then go "it might be a VDB". Ya, like your gonna let it go for $30, instead of actually pulling it out to check.

While I agree on the other points, this comment I have to disagree with. I have found numerous dimes in rolls of pennies.
