There are a lot of collectors on CT that use eBay for their collecting needs. There are many good sellers, on eBay, but there are bad sellers too.

I think if we made a list of bad sellers, members of CT could conduct business on eBay more safely.

Please state a seller not to do business with, and the reason for it.

    I have two:
lowcountrycoins. Although they have quite a few positives, they have a handful of negatives because they either said "coin was stolen" or "they sold it". I bought a coin and minutes after paying for it I got a message saying it was stolen. The truth is that they often do not go through with the transaction if they feel the coin sold too cheap.

coinsrocksgems1. Again they have many positives, but as few might know, they used to run a basement slabbing business DBA International Numismatic Bureau. They slabbed many damaged coins as high grades, using far away pictures to conceal the damage. I was a victim when I bought a early 70's "proof set". All the coins I got were heavily damaged including staple nicks and scratches, although the slab said "PF69".

This is the same seller that always has "coin collection found in grandfather clock". That grandfather clock must be pretty big. :D

They also sell "unsearched rolls" of coins.

Fell free to posts any eBay user ids of sellers that wrongfully scammed you. I want to make a list so members of CT can have a little safer buying experience.

For reasons too numerous to list here, this is a very bad idea.

It's not often, but when Detecto does drink beer, he prefers Dos XX.

While Detecto's intentions are good, this type of "list" could end up being CT's problem child. Most members here already know the 'good and bad' when it comes to eBay, and most have the intelligence to determine who they'll but their coins from. Note that I said CT members, not the general population of eBay buyers.

I don't think he finished HS. That is why he fights like a coon-dog to monopolize this little space on the internet. Other than a box under his childhood bed in his mothers house, he has not much else.

Review this and see how it exploded

No. I can't go along with that assumption. There is no example for it.

If your not going to add anything of worth to this thread, then I suggest you hit your browser's back button and stay off my threads. Adios.

Aside from your lack of a HS education, there are many other things your lack of cognitive skills prevent you from grasping. You do not own my keyboard, control my thoughts, or have the power to censor other people. This is one of the central areas where you show how little respect you have for other people.

If you want to own a thread, you should make your own website. You have masterful HTML skills so this should be very easy for you.

I think this one has packaging issues, and goes back on word, from the feedback I read, kjlg51.

It's fine if members wish to post about their experiences with coin dealers, eBay sellers, or other members they've bought/sold/traded with. However, CoinTalk will never take any position on who is and who is not a good seller.

Personally, I wish more people would post about their good experiences, and I wish that people who post about bad experiences would be more rational (ie, just because someone sold a coin as an XF and you think it's a VF, doesn't make them a fraud).

And, please remember, everything you post about someone, good or bad, you are responsible personally for your own words.

I wouldn't know. I have limited experience with lost causes or tilting at windmills. How about you?

I agree with you Peter, and I now realize that if CT endorsed which sellers were good, and which were bad, it would cause some issues.
