Is this an 1861 coin?

    Hello everyone, I have been going through some old coins and came across this coin not really sure if this is a young Queen Victoria? Also not sure of the date, can someone tell me? Thank you

    Its a Victoria Bun Head Penny or Halfpenny depending on size, in that condition it would be classed as scrap copper.

    It looks like an 1861 and yes, it’s a young Queen Victoria. Shame about that hole in her head.

    Yep. Here's an 1861 halfpenny for comparison.

    If I had to take a punt based on the limited evidence, I'd say it was a penny, Obverse 6 reverse D, Freeman 29.
