I recieved my 1961 Jefferson Proof and here is the picture from it. Its Coin Dex's image. I will be hopefully sending this one to Robec for imaging when he gets a chance. Tel me what you think of this one.
Happy Birthday! I received this surprise gift from dmott the other day. Yeah yeah, posted it in another thread. Big whoop, wanna fight about it? Finding nicely toned nickels, let alone proofs from '70 on isn't an easy task. Couple different lighting positions to show off it's deep cameo.
I've acquired a coin from jello recently, and want to express my thanks for sending with it a few freebies. I don't have pictures at the moment so there will only be a listing, among the coins have been some: BU Lincoln cents from 68-74 S, a proof Lincoln 62 and a DDR State Quarter.
Six views of a 1909 PCGS PR64RB Matte Proof Lincoln. As an experiment, I had 6 PCGS TrueViews shot of a single coin at various lighting and viewing angles, just to see how the look and color changes under different conditions. This is a good example of how a single photo does not tell the whole tale of a coin. It's interesting that in shot #1 (top) it's difficult to see the detail of the coin, then with other lighting and viewing angles the detail (as well as the color) pop. The detail of the coin probably becomes the most visible in shot #4. It's also interesting how when more of the obverse gloss is shown in shot #6, some of the obverse detail starts to decline again.
Outstanding piece of work Wing.. Lighting on copper can dramatically change the view... what you show above is a fantastic demo of that. good stuff !

Well, I returned from the ISNA coin show in Indy today. My original plan consisted of obtaining some XF Barbers and mid MS Lincoln Wheats from the 1930's. I was very disappointed with the selection in both departments so I settled on finishing my Franklin album (Yep! All finished in MS 63 or better!! Will post more pictures in a later post). Here is the jewel of the Franky collection. I can't tell you how difficult it was to find one with great strike and nice fields, but I have it now! And I decided to start a Peace Dollar collection. I started with this one, best I could afford, though I still can't decide if the entire set will be "best I can afford" or VF/XF.
Added a few more quarters. Sorry for the terrible pics. One day when my sets are complete they will be professionally done.
I saw that puppy and I instantly knew it had to belong in your collection. The pleasure was all mine Greg.
